![]() So yeah, someone should probably update the sticky with more accurate figures. This might be the case with other spells too. ^^ Those are pretty much exactly like the results i got in my original test.įor some reason the eld 2.0s nearsight casts faster than the mentalist 2.0s nearsight. I also logged back on my mentalist to confirm my previous times. I'm a researcher by trade but I'm used to some good quality assurance and peer review.ĭid some quick testing on my friends eld. However, if there's a good reason that someone nice wants me to test another cast speed (2.2 or 2.3 healing spells), let me know. I don't really want to test other spells because I don't use other speed spells. Quick note on variances at the same speed - this could be due to server lag, rounding, or me using the time stamps on DAoC's chat logger (which only measure to the second).ģ92 dex = 0.80 (79.8) (old tests 392 dex = 0.95) The figure in parentheses is the time taken for 100 casts. The figure given is cast speed when total number of spells cast is divided by total time, in seconds. ![]() This changes with the new 2.5 breaks that mean 2.5 speed spells cast slightly faster. Worth noting that 2.5, 2.6, and 2.8 speed spells cast at the same speed using old dex caps (362, 374, and 392), (lifetaps, baseline and spec dd's).I haven't tested for any changes from 446 to 451. It is possible to go to 451 dex by using the Molvik caster sleeves with mythical dex cap.The highest break point is still at the same value (392), but the casting speed there has changed from 0.95 seconds per cast identified in old tests to 0.80 in new tests. My tests for 2.0 spells show a faster casting time than previous tests.I assume this is because I tested on Ywain and experienced some server lag (variance was 0.01-0.04 across all tests). I had very, very slightly (but consistently) lower cast speeds when compared to previous tests done on Pendragon. There is some evidence of a very tiny decline in cast speeds (perhaps diminishing returns) over long dex ranges for some spell speeds - but the difference is negligible. There is no evidence of any other break points for spells at 2.0, 2.1, 2.6, 2.8, or 3.0.There is evidence of breaks for 3.5 spells (spreadheals) at 380 and 386 dexterity. ![]()
